"Digitization and automation have always been part of our DNA," Thorkil Baattrup-Andersen, IT & Product Development Manager at Dolle, stated when MADE went on a industrial visit to the Danish manufacturer of timber loft ladders.
Together with Production Manager Steen Laier, he opened the doors to about 40 participants on the industrial visit arranged by MADE.
They were given the opportunity to have a look inside the production and hear about how new technology currently is on the top of the agenda at Dolle – even though digitalization and automation has been a part of the company for as long as most current employees can remember.
"Something is happening around now. We need to see digitization in a completely different light. We must ask ourselves what the digital factory means to us and relate to the new technologies that see the light of day," Thorkil Baattrup-Andersen said.
