15.10 Engineering design as a driver for sustainability – with Marie Bay Borg, Kapacitet
To a wide extent, the environmental footprint of your product is determined already in the design phase. It includes factors such as the materials you choose, the complexity of the product, and the durability of the product. Making the right choices early can save you a lot of pain later – and save the world for needless CO2 emissions and resource consumption. Meet Marie Bay Borg, Senior R&D Engineer at Kapacitet, who will highlight some of the key principles and decisions that impact the sustainability of your product. Practical insights that can make a significant difference.
15.30 Scaling up sound: Taking Dubby into real production – with Rasmus Kjærbo, Componental
The Copenhagen-based startup Componental has built Dubby, an audio effect tool for musicians, producers and DJs. They just completed a successful Kickstarter campaign. So far, they have built 70 Dubby units in their own combined office and workshop but now it is time to start scaling the production. Meet Co-founder and CEO Rasmus Kjærbo and learn how they are planning to fulfill the market demand. Rasmus will also share their fresh insights from selling hardware on Kickstarter. And of course, we will also hear some great music!
16.00 Our current challenges – with the startups from Batch 2
The participating startups in Batch 2 will each give a short presentation of their current manufacturing related challenges – and hopefully others in the room can provide advice or connections to help them overcome their challenges. Challenges could include anything from decisions about materials, sourcing of components, mechanical design issues to CE marking, packaging and make-or-buy decisions. And much more.
16.25 - 17.30 Networking, drinks and snacks
