15.00 Welcome and Introduction
We bring together hardware startups, manufacturers, advisors, investors, mentors and others with experience and interests within manufacturing in an informal setting to encourage effective networking and exchange of tips and ideas.
15.10 What do impact investors look for in hardware startups?
Director Mikkel Hejbøl, The Footprint Firm
In recent years, we have seen more and more investors focus on the environmental impact of the cases they invest in. But what exactly are they looking for?
Hear about the key metrics for measuring environmental impact and the importance of aligning business models with sustainability goals. We will also get some practical tips for pitching to impact investors.
The Footprint Firm, with their 'Footprint Fund I,' was recently named 'Impact Fund of the Year' by Active Owners Denmark for demonstrating how to combine positive environmental and social impact with financial returns.
15.30 How to make an award-winning design
Co-founder and Head of Product Monika Havnø, caramma
caramma won a Danish Design Award 2024 for their innovative support bottle that mimics natural breastfeeding for babies. The bottle gives a slow natural flow in all positions, and is designed to support all babies, mothers, fathers and partnering parents' universal desire for health and connection.
Fresh from their January launch and amidst a surge of orders, Monika Havnø will reveal how a persistent commitment to circular design principles in relation to both production, consumption and afterlife has shaped the caramma bottle. And she will elaborate on the decision and experiences with keeping production in Europe, including Denmark.
16.00 Our current challenges – with the startups from Batch 2
The participating startups in Batch 2 will each give a short presentation of their current manufacturing related challenges – and hopefully others in the room can provide advice or connections to help them overcome their challenges. Challenges could include anything from decisions about materials, sourcing of components, mechanical design issues to CE marking, packaging and make-or-buy decisions. And much more.
16.25 Networking, drinks and snacks
