Five different companies and one common need of improving their technological skills

Watch how Svendborg Motorværksted developed their technological skills in the MADE cluster project (English subtitles available)

By participating in a MADE cluster project, Svendborg Motorværksted (Svendborg Motor Workshop) and four other companies have obtained new knowledge of advanced manufacturing technologies such as thermal spraying and laser cladding. Thermal spraying and laser cladding are technologies used for improving the surface properties of products and tools and for repairs of expensive equipment and machines.

The five participating companies were very different from each other, but they all had a common need to improve their knowledge of thermal spraying or laser cladding technology. The RTO FORCE Technology led the project, providing facilities and expertise.

The project consisted of joint activities and events and individual meetings between each company and FORCE Technology.

“We have learned some new techniques, and we have become even more confident in what we are doing. Moreover, we have established a network of companies and specialists who can assist each other in the future,” Kim Poulsen, Operations Manager at Svendborg Motorværksted, states.

The cluster project consisted of joint activities with knowledge sharing as well as individual meetings between each company and FORCE Technology.
