This time we take you to Odense – the birthplace of our famous fairytale-writer Hans Christian Andersen. You can experience “The Little Mermaid”, “The Princess and the Pea”, “The Nightingale”, “The Ugly Duckling” and many more fairytales at the brand-new Hans Christian Andersen Museum.

Odense is also renowned for being the hotspot for robotics in Denmark – hosting several robotic companies like Universal Robots, Kubo Robotics and MIR and being the home of robotics education at the Maersk McKinney Møller Institute at University of Southern Denmark. The city of Odense is investing massively in robotics education for all school children in the municipality. So for Odense to host an International WRO competition makes perfect sense.

World Robot Olympiad is an important contribution in the work to inspire more young students to take an interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics and thus pursue a career within this field.
